An in-house study of caustics, refraction and patterned illumination.
Droplet studies
Paired simulations trace how moving droplets distort light across curved transparent surfaces.
Ripple simulation
Ripple motion is developed in Houdini, with lighting and rendering in 3ds Max and V-Ray GPU.
Product-scale studies
Controlled comparisons test the lighting system across distinct forms, surfaces and materials.








Final frames
Eight studies isolate how transparency, surface angle and depth reshape projected light.


Applied studies
The experiments resolve as product-scale scenes designed for clear, tactile commercial imagery.
Project details
A series of controlled experiments in caustics, ripple motion and product-scale lighting. Houdini and TyFlow drive the motion; lighting and final rendering are completed in 3ds Max with V-Ray GPU.
